Jim Green

Jim has spent the last 20 years working in the world of educational publishing - initially with Pearson and most recently as Managing Director of Collins Education. In his time at Pearson Jim worked in sales, marketing and editorial roles both in the UK and the US, he ran a distance learning business and ultimately managed all of Pearson’s Higher Education activity in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. At Collins, Jim’s role as MD, Education, encompassed the development of cross-curricular resources and schemes of work for the UK school curriculum. He enjoyed consulting teachers in the classroom and subsequently developing resources, both printed and digital, to help make learning exciting and relevant. Jim had additional responsibility for the development of digital strategy across the Harper Collins group and has a particular interest in the transformational potential of well developed interactive learning materials. When not thinking hard about issues relating to education (and trying to reconcile government policy with classroom reality) Jim enjoys cricket, camping and crime fiction.
